Male Pattern Baldness (MPB)
MPB is primarily caused by a combination of genetic and hormonal factors:
Genetics: Men with a family history of MPB are more likely to develop it themselves.
Hormones: The hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT) plays a role in hair loss. In men with MPB, hair follicles become more sensitive to DHT, which causes them to shrink and produce thinner, shorter hairs.
Symptoms:
Receding hairline, Thinning hair on the crown, Bald patches on the top of the head, and Hair may become finer and weaker.
Progression:
MPB typically progresses gradually over time. The rate of hair loss can vary widely between individuals
